Lab 2: Proportional Control of A Simple RC Process
This collection of presentations takes viewers through the design processes required to complete Lab 2 in ET 438a. The presentation has four parts. Part 1 describes how to design the error detection circuit using a differential amplifier circuit. Part two explains how to create a proportional controller using two OP AMP circuits. The controller consists of an inverting summing amplifier and an unity gain inverting amplifer. Presentation three discusses how to represent a first order process using a simple RC circuit. This presentation also covers how to close the feedback loop using an impedance buffer and a voltage divider. The last presentation shows a student video of the completed circuit in operation.
