Experiment 7: PLC Function Programming Using Ladder Logic
This video collection shows how to use the timer and counter functions of the Do-More Designer software by Automation Direct. This software can program BRX series PLCs and includes a PLC simulator for testing programs without PLC hardware. The latest version of the software is available for download from the Automation DIrect site. This software can create ladder logic programs and includes instructions for closed loop process control along with a full set of sequential control instructions. This lab activity will focus on programming time delays using on and off delay timers. The videos will also demonstrate the use of the counter function for recording events. An example demostrates a state machine programmed in PLC ladder logic.
