Brief biography

Currently, I am serving as an assistant professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in Southern Illinois University. I was a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Princeton University from February 2014 to January 2016. I received the PhD degree in electrical engineering from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the University of Alberta under the supervision of Prof. Chintha Tellambura and Prof. Masoud Ardakani. My PhD thesis was based on research in design and analysis of wireless transmission strategies for cooperative relay networks. My current research interests include massive MIMO systems, millimeter-wave communications, physical layer security, dynamic TDD designs for heterogeneous wireless systems, cognitive radios, simultaneous wireless information and power transmission, and deep-learning based physical-layer communication designs.
